Flock Social review: the sales page, the Terms, and the gap between them.
Flock Social sells software that follows, unfollows, likes and DMs from your Instagram account (its plan cards list "Follow/Unfollow Automation" and "Auto-like after Follow") under a homepage promise of "Zero spam, no bots, and not one fake follower." Its Trustpilot record is 2.1★ from 62 reviews, 49% of them 1-star. Its how-it-works page says "results are guaranteed"; its Terms say "results are never guaranteed." Its prices, features, Terms and named operator match Upleap's line for line. Everything below is quoted from flocksocial.com as read on 3 September 2026. What Flock Social is
Flock Social is an Instagram growth tool that uses targeting filters and automated engagement to attract followers in your niche.
What Flock Social sells, in its own words
The homepage opens with "Grow your Instagram" and the line "Zero spam, no bots, and not one fake follower. Let us find your audience." The FAQ describes the method: "You just set your targeting preferences, and our system follows users that fit your audience." The how-it-works page calls it "automatically engaging with real Instagram accounts, based on your Target Audience," and promises to "automatically unfollow those that don't engage."
Every plan card lists "Follow/Unfollow Automation", "Auto-like after Follow", "Welcome DM Automation", a "Close Friends auto-adder" and "Multi-proxy login support". Beside "no bots", those quotes describe one thing: software acting from your login with no person behind each action. No account manager appears on any current tier.
That mechanism is the follow/unfollow method: follow accounts in bulk hoping some follow back, then drop them. Every action comes from your own login, so Instagram's limits land on your account (typically as an action block), and the typical new follower is someone who was followed first.
The prices, the trial and the refund clause
The pricing page lists IG Newbie at $39 a month, IG Explorer at $69 and IG Adventurer at $119; on the annual toggle they become $19, $34 and $64 a month, "Billed $229 annualy", $409 and $769 (the spelling is theirs). Each card carries an estimate ("600 - 800+", "800 - 1,200+" and "1,200 - 1,600+" followers a month) and all three share one feature list; only the estimate changes.
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and the how-it-works page says "No credit card required." The Terms describe what follows: the plan "will automatically convert into an active, paid subscription unless canceled prior to the trial's expiration." Cancellation requests "must be submitted at least 24 hours before the activation or the next billing cycle," and turning the interactions off in the dashboard, the Terms add, "does not cancel the subscription and related charges."
On refunds, the Terms (last updated 30 November 2022) say requests "are reviewed on a case-by-case basis" and that yearly plans "are offered at a significant discount, and as such, are non-refundable." The cheapest rate is the one you cannot get back. Our own plans, for contrast, carry a 7-day money-back guarantee stated on every pricing page.
Guaranteed results, and results never guaranteed
The how-it-works page says "Guaranteed Results - We always deliver what we promise" and "Your Instagram is 100% safe and results are guaranteed." The homepage says "Guaranteed growth." The FAQ says the plans "come with an expected monthly follower increase, and we reach these goals for over 93% of our clients!" A few answers away: "we are unable to offer any guarantees."
The Terms are plainer: "We do not guarantee the number of followers You will receive and if they will be real individuals," and "You understand that You are paying Us for our effort to generate results, but that results are never guaranteed." Same site, same day. The sentence on the page sells; the one in the Terms governs a dispute. We quote both and leave the weighting to you.
The add-on beside "no bots", and the brand next door
Flock Social's knowledge base offers "On-Demand Followers": "Pick the number of followers you want (from 500 to 50,000)," "It's instant. It's simple," and "these followers are real accounts, but they're not handpicked for your niche, meaning the engagement levels will vary." No price is published, and the Terms say "all sales are final and non-refundable once delivery has commenced." Untargeted followers by the thousand, sold beside "not one fake follower", is worth reading twice: see our guide to buying Instagram followers.
Then there is Upleap. Read the same day, upleap.com and flocksocial.com show the same three prices and annual totals, the same "(only $1.26/day)" line, the same thirteen feature bullets in the same order, the same "annualy" typo, the same trial and auto-conversion clause, the same On-Demand Followers add-on with the same non-refundable wording, Terms that are 88% line-identical down to the same Dubai address, and the same company name, SocialGrowth LLC FZ. We state it as an observation: two brands, one product, so choosing between them is not a choice. Our Upleap review covers the other storefront; Flock Social's pricing is broken down plan by plan; and the comparison that matters is at Virallized vs Flock Social and the best Flock Social alternatives.

Common questions
Is Flock Social legit?
It is a live service: a 2026 copyright, blog posts dated August 2026, published prices and a working trial. Whether it is a good buy, its own words answer: follow/unfollow automation under a "no bots" banner, a Trustpilot record of 2.1★ from 62 reviews with 49% 1-star, Terms that say "results are never guaranteed" beneath a page that says they are, and a price list shared with Upleap. The record is linked above.
Does Flock Social use bots?
Its homepage says "no bots." Its plan cards list "Follow/Unfollow Automation" and "Auto-like after Follow," and its FAQ says "our system follows users that fit your audience." Whichever word you prefer, software performs the actions from your login, the activity Instagram's limits are built to catch. See our entry on the follow/unfollow method.
Is the Flock Social free trial really free?
The seven days are. After that the Terms say the plan "will automatically convert into an active, paid subscription unless canceled prior to the trial's expiration," with cancellation due at least 24 hours before the next billing cycle. Run the free growth checker before and after, so day six is decided on numbers.
Can you get a refund from Flock Social?
At the company's discretion. The Terms say requests are "reviewed on a case-by-case basis" and that yearly, quarterly and other pre-paid plans "are non-refundable." No money-back guarantee appears on the site. If a refund window matters, pay monthly, and weigh it against services whose guarantee is written on the pricing page.
