What GetAFollower sells today
GetAFollower is a long-running shop for social media numbers. Its homepage says it has served customers "Since 2011", supports "60+ Leading Social Media Networks" and counts "64333+ Satisfied Customers". The services it features are Spotify plays, YouTube views, YouTube subscribers and TikTok followers, and its newest additions are Truth Social, GitHub, RedNote, Bluesky and Boomplay.
It says every order is "manually handled by our in-house professionals" with no bots or automation, and that ordering needs only a link or a username. You pick a network, a package and a quantity, and delivery starts once payment clears.
The change
What happened to Instagram
On 27 October 2026 we tried GetAFollower's Instagram order pages. Its followers page and its likes page both redirect to the homepage, and the homepage no longer contains the word Instagram anywhere in its menus, services or text.

We opened GetAFollower's Trustpilot page on 27 October 2026. The profile has been removed, and the page reads: "The business you're trying to find goes against our guidelines and is no longer visible on Trustpilot." That is Trustpilot's judgement, not ours.
Its homepage instead shows its own rating, 4.8 out of 5 from customers in 206 countries. A rating the seller publishes about itself is not an independent record, and there is no longer an independent one to read.

What bought numbers do to an account
A delivered follower does not watch your stories, like your posts or tell anyone about you. Add enough of them and your real engagement is spread over a bigger audience, so the engagement rate falls and anyone who checks it sees the gap.
Meta's Community Standards, which have covered Instagram since November 2024, ban buying, selling or exchanging engagement such as likes, shares, views and follows, and fake accounts are removed in sweeps, so bought counts sag over time.
