Fameswap review: what buying a page there involves, and the alternatives
Alternatives · checked 27 October 2026
Reviewed and updated by Jay Mercer, Founder · Updated · How we check
Fameswap is a marketplace where people buy and sell established social media accounts: TikTok accounts, YouTube channels and theme pages. Sellers set the price, buyers pay through an escrow service for a fee of 5% (or $50 minimum), and Fameswap's terms say it is not a party to the sale and "is not liable for what happens in relation to Digital Assets after the Listing expires". Trustpilot has removed its profile for going against its guidelines, and Instagram's Terms of Use say you can't buy, sell or transfer any aspect of an account. Virallized grows your own account instead, from $99 a month. We run it, so weigh that; it is listed first in the table below.

The alternatives: six growth services, the same facts for each
Trustpilot figures as read on each live profile on the date above; prices and methods from each provider's own public pages. We run Virallized, so it is listed first. Everyone else keeps Trustpilot's order.
| Service | How it works | Price | Money-back | Trustpilot | Compared with buying an account |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Virallized | Organic, targeted engagement: no bots, no fake followers | From $99/mo, four plans up to $299 (25% off yearly) | Yes. 7-day money-back guarantee, stated on every pricing page | 4.8★ from 92 reviews | Grows your own account with real people in your niche, instead of buying someone else's followers |
| Social Boost | Dedicated human Growth Manager, manual outreach | $129/mo Premium, $379/mo Turbocharged | Partly. Its pricing page promises a full refund with "no fine print"; its refund policy page says refunds are case by case and may be refused (23 Sept 2026) | 4.0★ from 394 reviews | Human-run, with a dedicated growth manager and a long review record |
| Gainsty | Targeted engagement from your own account; targets by competitors, age, location, gender and language | $83/mo Upgrade, $110/mo Turbo; $69 and $83/mo billed yearly | Partly. A 7-day free trial and a "guaranteed results" claim; its refund policy (updated 12 April 2024) mentions a 14-day money-back guarantee, makes yearly plans non-refundable and reviews performance-based requests case by case | 3.5★ from 79 reviews | Well-run and transparent; targets by competitors, age and location; free trial on every plan |
| Ampfluence | Manual engagement incl. follow/unfollow | $249–$1,499/mo (a $99 email-only plan; enterprise from $4,500) | No. Its FAQ: "we cannot provide refunds for work performed" (3 Sept 2026) | 2.4★ from 6 reviews | Agency pricing, better suited to a brand with a marketing team than to one account |
| Kicksta | Software automation ("growth pods network") | $69–$129/mo ($39–$79/mo billed annually) | Partly. Growth promise extends the trial rather than refunding | 1.9★ from 629 reviews | Software you set up yourself; cheap, but the targeting and the pace are yours |
| Path Social | Shout-outs, newsletter promos & AI targeting | $49–$69/mo ($29–$41/mo billed annually) | Yes. 7-day money-back on a new purchase per its Terms; renewals not refundable (re-read 3 Sept 2026) | Rating suspended by Trustpilot | The cheapest managed price; shout-outs, newsletter promos and AI targeting; rating suspended by Trustpilot |
Every provider's full record, ranked by its live Trustpilot score: the full ranking. What each tier really costs, and the billing traps: Instagram growth service cost.
Not on this shortlist: Outfame (2.4★ from 183 reviews), UpGrow (rating suspended by Trustpilot) and Upleap (2.9★ from 150 reviews), which other lists often recommend. Each sells followers alongside its growth plan, in its own words on its own site, so our ranking files it with the sellers rather than the growth services. The marketplace
What Fameswap is
Fameswap calls itself "the first, oldest and most trusted marketplace where you can buy established theme pages with real audiences". Its home page now leads with TikTok accounts and YouTube channels as well as theme pages, and shows a live total: 26,197 listings with a combined audience of more than 3.3 billion followers and a combined asking price of $219,297,912 when we read it on 27 October 2026.
Listings show live stats such as followers, likes per post and comments, which Fameswap says are "pulled directly from social media account" and reviewed before going live. Sellers set their own price as a starting point, and buyers send offers.
The process
How a purchase works
Once a seller accepts an offer, the buyer pays into Fameswap Escrow by bank wire or crypto. Fameswap's terms say the escrow is powered by a third-party provider, Payoneer Escrow. The fee is 5% of the price or $50, whichever is greater (3% for premium members), and the parties agree who pays it.
The seller then hands the account details to Fameswap's escrow team, the buyer inspects what they received and releases the payment, or opens a dispute. Fameswap says escrow usually completes in two to three days for first-time users.
The terms
What its terms say
Fameswap's terms describe it as "a platform for you to be introduced to other Sellers or Buyers" and say it "is not a party to any transaction or agreement between any Seller or Buyer". They also say Fameswap "does not monitor authenticity of any users or members of our site and will not be held liable for their actions", and "is not liable for what happens in relation to Digital Assets after the Listing expires".
Its Trustpilot profile has been removed; when we opened it on 27 October 2026 the page read: "The business you're trying to find goes against our guidelines and is no longer visible on Trustpilot." And Instagram's Terms of Use say you can't "buy, sell, or transfer any aspect of your account (including your username)". Our guide to buying an Instagram account covers what that means for a buyer.
The risk
What a bought page is worth
A page is priced by its follower count, but those followers followed someone else's content. When the page changes owner and subject, most of them stop engaging, and Instagram shows each post to fewer people as a result, so the reach a buyer gets can be a fraction of what the follower count suggests.
Instagram's About this account panel also shows anyone the date an account was created and how many times its username has changed, so a renamed page reads as exactly that. A free fake follower check on any listing before an offer shows how much of its audience looks real.
Our pick
Where Virallized differs
We run Virallized, so weigh this accordingly. Instead of buying an audience someone else built, you grow your own: you choose the accounts whose followers should become yours, and people on our team reach them with quality interactions from your own account, so the people who arrive chose your subject. Plans run from $99 to $299 a month, with a personal account manager from Pro.
Every plan has a published range, from 150 to 500 followers a month on Standard up to 750 to 3,000 on Managed, and the first payment carries a 7-day money-back guarantee paid back to your card. Our Trustpilot profile reads 4.8. In the 200-account sample we publish (client accounts that had each run at least 90 days, to 23 October 2026, nothing excluded), the median account added 407 net followers a month and all 200 finished larger than they started.
Your call
How to choose
If you want to own a large page on a subject you will keep posting about, and you accept Instagram's Terms and the risks after the sale, a marketplace is where those pages are listed. If you want an audience for your own brand, product or work, grow it: followers who chose your subject are worth more than a bigger number that chose someone else's.
Before spending anything, see where you stand: the free Instagram audit grades any public account in about 30 seconds, and the full ranking lists every growth service by its live Trustpilot score.
Common questions
Is Fameswap legit?
It is a working marketplace with an escrow service powered by Payoneer Escrow. But its Trustpilot profile has been removed for going against Trustpilot's guidelines (read on 27 October 2026), and its terms say it is not a party to the sale and not liable for what happens after a listing expires.
How much does Fameswap charge?
Its escrow fee is 5% of the price or $50, whichever is greater, or 3% (still $50 minimum) when either party has a premium membership. Sellers may also pay a listing fee, and the parties agree who pays the escrow fee.
Is it safe to buy an Instagram page on Fameswap?
Escrow protects the payment, not the account. Instagram's Terms say you can't buy, sell or transfer any aspect of an account, and Fameswap's terms say it is not liable for what happens after the listing expires.
Do you keep the followers of a page you buy?
You keep the count. Those followers followed the previous owner's content, so when the page changes subject most stop engaging, and Instagram shows its posts to fewer people as a result.
What is the best alternative to buying a page on Fameswap?
Growing your own account with people who chose your subject. Ranked by public Trustpilot score, Virallized leads the managed growth services at 4.8, from $99 a month with a published range for every plan and a 7-day money-back guarantee.
