Virallized vs Path Social

Path Social is an Instagram growth service that promotes accounts through an influencer shout-out network, email newsletters and AI targeting.

Path Social promises big follower numbers at a low price ($49–$69/mo, or $29–$41/mo billed annually), and as of August 2026 it has no Trustpilot rating at all: Trustpilot suspended it for a breach of guidelines after removing fake reviews, and 72% of the 1,491 reviews still visible are 1-star. Virallized costs more, at $99–$299/mo, and delivers organic growth plus the full Virallized AI with a public 4.8★ record and a 7-day money-back guarantee on every plan.

How Path Social works

Path Social has been operating since 2017 and takes a different route to most of this market. Rather than engaging accounts one by one, it promotes your profile through an influencer network, email newsletters and its own AI targeting, pushing you in front of large pools of people at once instead of interacting with them individually.

That model can produce large follower numbers quickly, and Path Social's marketing leans on exactly that. The trade-off is inherent to the approach: someone who follows you after seeing you in a promotional placement has a different relationship to your account than someone who found you because you engaged with something they posted. Volume and intent are not the same thing.

The rating on their site is not the rating on Trustpilot

This is the single most useful thing to know before buying from Path Social. Their own website displays a 4.8 rating badge. Their Trustpilot profile, as of August 2026, displays no rating at all: Trustpilot suspended it with the notice “This company’s rating is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines”, alongside “We’ve removed a number of fake reviews for this company.” That is Trustpilot’s wording, on a page Path Social cannot edit, and the profile is public if you want to read it in place.

The reviews themselves are still visible, and their shape is worth knowing: of the 1,491 reviews remaining on the profile, 72 per cent are 1-star. Before the suspension the score those reviews produced was 3.3 out of 5 (already a long way below the badge on the homepage), and what Trustpilot removed, by its own statement, was fake positive volume.

For what it is worth, this is exactly why our rankings page orders services by their public Trustpilot record and links every profile. A rating a company displays about itself is marketing. A rating hosted somewhere it cannot edit is evidence — and when the host takes the rating away, that is evidence too.

What Path Social costs

Path Social's pricing page lists two plans: Core at $49 a month and Elite at $69, or $29 and $41 a month billed annually, roughly $348 to $492 a year. That makes it cheaper than most managed services, ours included: Virallized Standard is $99 a month, or $891 a year billed annually, and includes the content engine that Path Social does not offer at any tier. Two things about the page are worth knowing before you compare. It opens on annual billing, and when we tested it the monthly toggle did not respond to ordinary clicks, so a casual visitor may only ever see the annual rate. And the "guaranteed results or it's free" promise resolves, in the Terms, to a refund within seven days of a new purchase. After that Path Social cancels the subscription but does not refund, and renewals are not refundable.

Their pricing page also runs countdown timers and limited-availability banners. These are a common conversion tactic rather than a reflection of genuine scarcity, and they tend to reappear on each visit. Treat the urgency as marketing furniture and take the time to compare properly.

What the reviews describe

Across Path Social's 1,649 Trustpilot reviews and other public sources, a few themes recur: the Instagram connection dropping out and needing to be re-authorised, followers falling away after the first month, support that is friendly but slow, and confusion at renewal over annual billing terms.

The service is not a scam and we would not describe it as one. It is a long-established company with a real product and a large customer base, and plenty of its reviews are positive. But a 3.3 average from that many people is a meaningful signal, and the billing complaints in particular are worth reading before you commit to an annual plan.

Reach versus relevance

The deeper question with a promotion-network model is what the followers are worth once they arrive. A shout-out or newsletter placement reaches a large audience with a weak connection to your niche. Targeted engagement reaches a smaller audience with a strong one. The first produces a bigger number faster; the second produces an audience more likely to comment, save and buy.

Instagram's ranking systems respond to engagement rate, not follower count. Ten thousand followers who never interact can leave your reach lower than two thousand who do. That is the case for targeted growth over broadcast promotion, and it is the reason Virallized works the way it does: followers found through relevance, and content produced so there is a reason for them to stay.

Who should choose Path Social

If raw follower count is the metric you are judged on (a brand deal with a threshold, a client who counts followers), and you are comfortable with a refund window that closes seven days after purchase, Path Social's network can move that number faster than targeted engagement will, and at a lower price than most managed services.

If you want an audience that engages, and a public record you can read, Virallized is the better fit: $99 to $299 a month (more than Path Social), monthly or annual as you prefer, the content engine included, and a seven-day money-back guarantee.

What Path Social's public Trustpilot record shows

Path Social currently has no Trustpilot rating. The profile shows: "This company's rating is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines" — alongside Trustpilot's notice: "We've removed a number of fake reviews for this company." Of the 1491 reviews still visible, 72% are 1-star. That is Trustpilot's wording and Trustpilot's arithmetic, not ours — the profile is public, so read it in place rather than take anyone's summary.
