Where does the order come from?

Trustpilot TrustScore, highest first, with review count breaking ties. We do not calculate a score of our own and we do not weight anything. The ranking belongs to a third party. That is deliberate: a ranking a company computes for itself is worth nothing.

Why is Virallized top of the managed services?

Because 4.8 is the highest TrustScore among Instagram growth services on the date shown. The next is Ascend Viral at 4.3. One product elsewhere on the page matches it: BuzzHike, also 4.8 and from far more reviews. It is self-serve software rather than a growth service (its own FAQ says it is not an engagement service), so it is listed in the software tools section at its full score rather than ranked against services. Ranking the two categories together would compare different products; dropping it would be worse.

How are the categories decided?

From each company's own public description of what they sell. Managed growth means someone works your account for you; a software tool is something you operate yourself. Companies that sell followers as packages are listed separately and are not ranked, because a rating for a follower vendor tells you the followers arrived, not that they did any good. Where a call is not obvious we quote the company's own wording so you can disagree with us.

How do you actually verify the numbers?

By hand, on the date shown. We open every profile in this table on Trustpilot itself, re-read the score, the review count and the star distribution, and update the row: no scraping, no cached feed, no third-party data. When something has changed since our last pass, the row changes; the date at the top of the page is the date someone here last did that work. It is slower than automating it, and it is why we are comfortable putting our name under every figure.

Have you tested every service on this list?

No, and we will not claim we have. We have not bought or trialled these products. Everything here is drawn from public sources you can check yourself, which is why every row links out to its source.

Why are follower-selling sites not in the ranking?

Because the number would not mean the same thing. A good rating for a company that sells followers means the followers turned up on time. It says nothing about whether they were real accounts or what they did to the profile afterwards. Slotting that score into a table of growth services would push a follower vendor above real services on a technicality. They are listed below the ranking instead, with their scores intact. We do not sell followers.

Our pick after ours is Gainsty. That is an opinion, marked as one: The model runs from your own account, the pricing is public, every plan opens with a free trial, and every negative review on its profile is answered. It sits fourth by the score, and the score is what orders the table.

How to choose one: six checks and four red flags

The table is the record. This is how to turn it into a decision, the same six questions we would put to any service on it, ours included.

Do they explain the method in plain words? A service you can trust says exactly how it finds and engages people on your behalf. "Proprietary algorithm" or "advanced AI" with no detail is a warning.
Is the targeting yours to define? Generic targeting produces generic followers. You should be able to name your niche, your competitors and the accounts your ideal audience already follows.
Do the followers engage? Ask for evidence that the people who arrive like, comment and stay, not just a count: live client accounts, case studies, reviews that mention engagement.
Is there a money-back window in writing? A guarantee is the company putting its own money behind the result. No refund policy means little incentive to perform.
Are the reviews independent? Trustpilot or Google under the company's real name, with the volume, the average and how negatives are answered, not testimonials it curates. That is the column this page is sorted by.
How long have they operated? This market turns over fast. A company that has run through years of algorithm and policy changes is a different bet from one that appeared last spring.

Rule a service out on the spot if

It promises an exact follower count by a fixed date. Real people make their own decisions, so an honest service quotes a range.
The price only works with automation. Targeted engagement is daily human work; a plan that costs a few dollars a month can only be a bot or a package.
The reviews are thin, all recent, or all in one voice, the pattern manufactured testimonials leave.
It sells followers on the same site. A company that sells packages is a shop whatever the tagline says, and Trustpilot has been removing their profiles: see the sellers section below.

Engagement rate matters as much as the count: 5,000 engaged followers in one niche do more for a creator than 50,000 passive ones, so judge a service by whether it improves the quality of the audience, not only its size. Whether paid growth makes sense for you at all is the worth it question, answered separately.

Each profile shows "This company's rating is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines" with the notice "We've removed a number of fake reviews for this company."
